Companies that offer seductively cheap web hosting packages do so on the premise that once your web site is established, and hopefully generating some income for you, inertia will set in and you’ll be loathe to go through the trouble of moving away from your cheap web host to a new one. When it comes time to renew your cheap web hosting package, however, you may be disappointed to discover that the renewal rates are pricier than the low introductory rate you signed up for.
When that happens you’ll be faced with a difficult decision: Pack up and move, and risk unknown problems as the result of the move, or stay with your “cheap web host” and pay the higher rates.

For example, were you satisfied with the overall performance of your web host? Was your web site available 24/7 with no, or minimal, interruptions? Was your web host’s technical support competent and responsive? Was your cheap web host’s range of services and tools adequate to support your needs?

If the answers to these questions are yes, yes, yes, and yes, you’ll want to think twice before going on a search, again, for the cheapest web hosting. But if you were dissatisfied with one or more aspects of your host’s performance it may be time to go back to the drawing board, do your homework, and find a better long term partner for your online business.
